Deuteronomy 4:29-31

29 aBut from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul. 30When you are in tribulation, and all these things come upon you bin the latter days, you will return to the Lord your God and obey his voice. 31For the Lord your God is ca merciful God. dHe will not leave you or destroy you or forget the covenant with your fathers that he swore to them.

Deuteronomy 30:1-4

Repentance and Forgiveness

1 e“And fwhen all these things come upon you, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before you, and gyou call them to mind among all the nations where the Lord your God has driven you, 2and hreturn to the Lord your God, you and your children, and obey his voice in all that I command you today, with all your heart and with all your soul, 3then the Lord your God iwill restore your fortunes and have mercy on you, and he will jgather you again from all the peoples where the Lord your God has scattered you. 4 kIf your outcasts are in the uttermost parts of heaven, from there the Lord your God will gather you, and from there he will take you.

Ezra 1:3-5

3Whoever is among you of all his people, may his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and rebuild the house of the Lord, the God of Israellhe is the God who is in Jerusalem. 4And let each survivor, in whatever place he sojourns, be assisted by the men of his place with silver and gold, with goods and with beasts, besides freewill offerings for the house of God that is in Jerusalem.”

5Then rose up the heads of the fathers’ houses of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests and the Levites, meveryone whose spirit nGod had stirred to go up to rebuild the house of the Lord that is in Jerusalem.

Nehemiah 1:2-4

2that oHanani, one of my brothers, came with certain men from Judah. And I asked them concerning the Jews who escaped, who had survived the exile, and concerning Jerusalem. 3And they said to me, “The remnant there in the province who had survived the exile is in great trouble and pshame. qThe wall of Jerusalem is broken down, rand its gates are destroyed by fire.”

Nehemiah’s Prayer

4As soon as I heard these words I ssat down and wept and mourned for days, and I continued fasting and praying before the tGod of heaven.

Nehemiah 2:3-5

3I said to the king, u“Let the king live forever! Why should not my face be sad, vwhen the city, the place of my fathersgraves, lies in ruins, and its gates have been destroyed by fire?” 4Then the king said to me, “What are you requesting?” So I prayed wto the God of heaven. 5And I said to the king, “If it pleases the king, and if your servant has found favor in your sight, that you send me to Judah, to the city of my fathersgraves, that I may rebuild it.”

Jeremiah 29:12-14

12 xThen you will call upon me and come and pray to me, yand I will hear you. 13 zYou will seek me and find me, when you seek me aawith all your heart. 14I will be found by you, declares the Lord, aband I will restore your fortunes and acgather you from all the nations and all the places adwhere I have driven you, declares the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile.
